Glitter and Bling Blog Hop -- A Lighted Valentine Bouquet... :)

Welcome to the Glitter and Bling Blog Hop!!

I'm super excited to be a part of Gill's first blog hop for 2012 -- especially since it's all about GLITTER and BLING!!  Woot-woot!!  If you've stopped by my blog before, then you know that The-Turtle-Cat and I just L-O-V-E anything that sparkles, glitters, and shines!!  :)  This is a TWO-DAY hop (the first day being yesterday), so be sure to check out Gill's blog for all the details for BOTH days!!

Are ya ready to join this Sparkle-fied journey??? If you've hopped over from Lisa, then you are in the right Sparkle Spot!! If you've just popped in to visit my blog or are reading this via email and you'd like to join in on the Glittery Goodness, then please... CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Gill's Blog -- Then you can follow the Pretty Path to all the Sparkle Spots!!  :)

For the hop today, I've created .......
A sparkly Valentine's Card to go with my lighted bouquet!!  :)  Some of you may already know that this is my most favorite bouquet of tulips and daisies (my two favorite flowers!!)...  While I don't have much of a green thumb, these faux-flowers look stunningly real!!  Studies indicate that women who keep a vase of brightly colored flowers on their bedside table (visible upon wakening in the morning), find their moods to be uplifted...  And when you wake up happy, it's so much easier to stay that way!!  So if fresh-cut flowers aren't in your budget (or your tulips are buried under a foot of snow like mine), then pick yourself up some faux-flowers and enjoy the mood-enhancement they'll bring ya!! :)
Of course, for a little extra SPARKLE and SHINE, I've added a silver glittered lighted branch to my flowers...  These branches are SO versatile, and I love keeping a set on hand to add to a vase or a bucket with seasonal sprays or even alone...  They work well to light a foyer or to double as a night light in a dark hallway on the way to the powder room (it's never fun to stub your toe during a midnight sprint!)...
But what bouquet would be complete without a card expressing those feelings of love???  This 4.25" square card has a white cardstock base with a 4" square layer of red and a 3.75" square layer of black glitter cardstock...  This is The-Turtle-Cat's favorite cardstock...  She rarely likes to part with it, but I managed to sneak this square past her by leaving the glitter drawer open. :)
The "Love You..." sentiment can be found on the Owly Hoo Stamp Art Sentiment Set from K Andrew Designs...  If you'd like to see a BUNCH more projects featuring this incredibly FUN stamp set, please CLICK HERE (and should you decide to make this stamp set yours, you can qualify for FREE SHIPPING on your purchase by entering amyfreeship at check out!!)...
To finish off the card, I added two handmade stick pins with a tiny silver bow...  With the card perched inside the bouquet, this would be the perfect "Love you..." Gift on Valentine's Day (unless you're wishing for a sparkly ring or necklace this year)...  Add a tray of breakfast in bed, and what could be better???  :)

Well, I hope you've enjoyed my SPARKLY creation today!!  If you like what you've seen, please become a follower!!  To receive updates whenever I post a new creation, there's an email subscription box at the top of this page OR you can "Like" my page on Facebook...  Ya just never know when a special Love To Crop! friend will be chosen for a special surprise!! :)

Your next Sparkle Stop is: Michelle!!  I'm sure she has some Beautiful Bling to share with ya!! :)

Oohh, I love this bouquet, Amy!! I did not know that about keeping a vase of brightly colored flowers on the bedside table!! I have a slight obsession with plants and have a houseful of greenery, but I don't have any flowers...except for a Christmas cactus that blooms pretty regularly. I will have to invest in some flowers for the mood enhancement!! And I love your sparkly card!! It is gorgeous!! :)
