For those of you that follow along on my weekly crafting escapades, you may remember that I had glitch after glitch after glitch last week when it came to my M.A.G. Challenge By The Page entry, Don't Stop Dreamin'!... So I vowed to make sure that my project was finished early this week -- I didn't want a repeat of last week, after all!! Well, by the time you get to read this, everything will be back up and running, but for now... Here I sit, waiting for my camera battery to charge so that I can take some pictures. {sigh}. At least it's not tomorrow when I'm doing this, right? LOL...
Have you checked out M.A.G. Challenge By The Page yet? The real challenge of their challenges is that they choose ONE page from ONE cartridge handbook, and you can ONLY cut images from that ONE page for your project -- You can use any other non-Cricut embellishments, but after cutting ONLY the images from that page, you must step away from the Cricut!! Every week that I am able to participate (if you don't have the cartridge of the week, there can't be a substitute, since it is a very specific challenge), I am really challenged to step away from the Cricut... But this week, it didn't take me long to figure out what I wanted to do... This week Challenge #16 was to use page 43 from the Cricut Cartridge Pooh and Friends...
For the details of my layout...
Now, deciding to use Rabbit for my layout was easy -- Of COURSE I was gonna use Rabbit (cut at 7")!! But I pondered about what other cuts from this page I might be able to use... I decided to use the basket from the Icon Feature (cut at 4"), but added a little twist and weave to it so that it would look more like an Easter basket...
The next part of my layout was indeed the most time consuming... But I really needed the therapy, so it's all good (you DO scrapbook for therapy too, right?)... I started by cutting a whole bunch (like, 29, or something) of very small oval shapes with my Creative Memories Custom Cutting System (as I have stepped away from the Cricut to take it old-school now!)... I then cut some wavy strips with my Rotary Trimmer and punched some circles and little flowers with my SU! Punch Pack punches to decorate my little ovals and turn them into some snazzy-lookin' eggs!! Of course, after spending tedious hours creating those little embellishments, they needed some opalescent stickles for the final touch!!
My journaling box/egg was created using a larger oval from the CCS and more strips and punches...
My background paper (and paper used for decorating the eggs) is from the Creative Memories Delight Power Palette (soon to be discontinued)... Cardstock colors used are Honeydew, Pink Lemonade, Butter, and Mediterranean... If you do not currently have a CM Consultant, and would like to order any of the items I've used, you can order order online and have it direct shipped (anywhere in the US) by clicking and shopping HERE...
Everything (and I do mean everything) was inked with chocolate ink and my favorite little finger sponge dauber that my BFF Christi gave me (Can ya tell that I really, really, really love that thing!! I can even ink and watch tv now!!)... A few of the eggs have dimensionals behind them to pop em up, but I tried to stay away from the fun foam after my 'A Day At The Zoo' layout from the other day (ugh, that was a lot of fun foam that really didn't show up in the pictures!!)...
I heard a rumor that the Creative Sisters Monday Challenge #3 was to Think Spring!, so I'm planning to enter this layout there as well... If you haven't been over to visit them yet, I hope you get the chance to do so today... Linda and Patti-Lynn (the Creative Sisters) co-host a new challenge every other week -- This gives you a little extra time to plan out your project and enter it for a chance to win their awesome prize package!! Be sure to stop on over there soon...
I am thoroughly enjoying the sunshine streaming in my window today... It's still pretty chilly out there, but The-Toby-Dog and I heard lots and lots of birds singing on our morning trip outside... Is it possible that the woodpecker was back out there too??? I hope the signs of spring are making an appearance wherever you are too -- If not, click on one of the pictures above, and pretend you are in the field of Easter eggs with Rabbit...
Remember, my Cricut Cartridge Giveaway (for Stork's Delivery) is open until March 28th!! Be sure to click here and enter to WIN!! :)
Until next time, may your eggs be fresh and your days be hoppy!! :)

OMG! Super LO! It was worth cutting the 29 eggs!
That looks like a fun challenge and you did a great job with it! I love the CM cutters! I often use them on pictures so I can fit a bunch on one page! It looks like your piecing and sponging took a lot of time but it was well worth it! The finished product is wonderful! TFS and good luck with the challenge!
Absolutely adorable!
I was just thinking the other day of how I can use that cartridge for something, thanks to your great idea, I will make an Easter Layout! A little different then yours, as I will get the eggs and basket cut from Doodlecharms and I Scrapbook 8 1/2 x 11 layouts, so thinking only a 4" bunny. HMMM!!!
