OK -- It is at this time that I must award my Reader-Comment-Of-The-Week-Award... I've never actually presented one of these awards before, but I think it's something I need to do on a regular basis... You see, there comes a time in one's blogging 'career' (the few short months I've been doing this -- as opposed to the years I know others have persevered) that she suddenly discovers her stories are being read by people she may not have actually realized were tuning in... This happened to me SEVERAL times this past week:
- A friend of mine actually called The-Girl-Child "the-girl-child" on facebook (instead of just using her name)... and then proceeded to tell her that she had read about her acceptance to Manhattan College... Ha ha... Yes, The-Girl-Child got a kick out of that, it was funny. :)
- I attended a conference on Saturday morning (before I r-e-a-l-l-y started to get sick) and didn't have any funny new stories to share because everyone had already read them all {sigh}. Note to self: save some funny stories for the LIVE
Comedy Touraudience of friends! :) - One of my friends was telling me that she was laughing so hard reading about The-Turtle-Cat helping with my Cricut Circle Challenge Box... And I was like, 'Hey! How did she know about that???'... But then I was reading through my comments (LOVE those comments) and realized she had left one of her cryptic messages on my blog... What does that mean? It means that she wrote and submitted and never re-read... And what she wrote left me saying, 'huh???' Luckily, I have had years of reading her cryptic messages via text, so I was finally able to translate it into what she was actually trying to say... And then I texted her to make sure it really WAS her (and it was)... And, as always, she is happy to provide my comic relief (since she and my other friends are the first to make fun of me for doing spell-check on my text messages before sending them -- HEY!! I was a lit-major, whaddya want from me???)... :)
And so... My Reader-Comment-Of-The-Week-Award goes to RUTH, for making me laugh so hard that I, well, liked it better than Pirates of Penzance... For her award, I will be designing and creating a complete layout just for her -- and I will even include the journaling if she wants :) I know that she will love it because she loves everything I make (wink, wink)... Not that she needs me to create anything for her, because she is very talented -- Just look at what she made this weekend (and texted to me with one of her cryptic messages also):

Until next time, may all of your deliveries be special and may your Penzance be Pirate-free... :)
