Happy April Fool's Day!! Blog Hop & Candy!! :)

Welcome to It's A Joy 2 Scrap's April Fool's Day Blog Hop!! No foolin'...  I have a FUN project for ya!! If you came here from Kara's Blog, you are in the right place. However, if you're just visiting me by chance or just checking in, you'll want to hop over to It's A Joy 2 Scrap's blog so you don't miss out on any of the fun!!
For this hop, we were asked to create a project that “tricks the eye” or does something you might not have expected it to do... I saw a Scrapbook Purse very similar to this one on Split Coast Stamper (sorry, I tried to go back and find it, but it's been too long, and I can't find the original person who posted -- if it was you, please let me know so I can give you credit!!)...  Then, a few days ago, a friend of mine sent me an email with pictures of another one!!  Now how did she know I had made one of these just for this occasion???  I thought it was the coolest thing!!  Kinda like an explosion box, but with a little twist...
Click on picture to enlarge...  :)
I used three full pieces of 12x12 paper (one cardstock, two designer sheets) plus one 4x12 strip of cardstock to create my Scrapbook Purse...  Plus some scraps!!  :)  The punch-art-flower is one of the flowers I am giving away on THIS previous post (it's not too late to enter to win, so if ya haven't... click HERE!)...
Click on picture to enlarge...  :)
You can add photos to any of the inside squares and triangles...  Now how stinkin' cute is that??  :)  Simply score your base piece of cardstock 4" from each edge, and then create mountain/valley folds on two sides (opposite sides)...  I wrapped my extra 4x12 strip around the center to create the purse 'flap' and give it some extra support...

Now how about some Blog Candy on this Blog Hop???  No foolin'...  I've got CANDY!!  :)  Unfortunately, I do not have a picture of the candy at the moment (Blogger just gave me a few issues while getting this post ready) -- If ya wanna see what the candy is, come on back in a bit -- I'll edit my post to include the candy, candy, candy!!  :)  To WIN, all ya have to do is leave a comment with the BEST April Fool's joke you ever played on someone else OR that someone else played on you...  Although you don't have to be a follower to win, I'd love for you to join my Fabulous Followers if ya like what ya see here!!  :)

Next in line is Ashley from Marine Wife's Scrappin' Life!! I hope you'll hop on over to her blog and see what she's created to trick your eye and surprise ya!!  While you're there, scroll through and check out her layouts and cards -- Y'all know how much I  L-O-V-E layouts!!  :)

If you get lost along the way, here is the line up of everyone participating in the hop...

REMEMBER -- If you leave a comment on all the blogs by Sunday (April 3) at 11:59pm (CST), you will have a chance to win some fabulous prizes!!!

This is very cute. I am not sure if my brain could handle it.I will have to give it a try when I have no distractions. Was it very difficult? It is very interesting so I definitely have to give it a try.

This is a fantastic project! I love it! This is hard for me, because I don't really have any good April Fool's jokes that are that great, except for being given a "lottery ticket" by my mom when I came home from school in high school and I didn't think much of it because we always played the scratch and win ones... but this one said I won thousands of dollars and I was thrilled jumping up and down screaming... until I found the joke was on me Happy April Fools hehehe! Thank you for the great share!

Love the purse explosion box!! I am not much of an April Fool's gal, probably telling friends that school was cancelled when I was in school, a thousand years ago would be the highlights of my April Foolery! LOL

Okay, best April Fool's Day joke ever...hmmmm..
Okay, my daughter was 7 and very VERY big into N'Sync, especially J.C. Chazez.

She was always hard to wake up for school so this particular April 1st morning, I ran in her room and shook her hard and yelled "OMGosh, Alissa, J.C. is on the phone and he wants to talk to you!!!!!!"

She jumped out of bed all groggy and stumbling around looking for the phone.

I only felt bad for a second but it was priceless!!! VERY VERY Funny!

hahahahha. (I'm a terribly mean mom!)

My son just played an April Fool's on me this morning and yelled "There's a mouse!" I jumped as I don't like mice and then he says "April Fools!" He got me good!

I forgot to mention the April Fools joke. A friend's room mates had all his personal effects put in storage on campus (it only has normal day time hours). By the time he came home he had no clothes or sheets etc and no way to get them until the next day.

OMG...that is such an incredible idea. Hmmm, my niece is planning a tea party for her birthday, this would be perfect to make for a birthday "album" for her to keep.

We've never really played big jokes on each othe here, but I do like to make a special dinner where the food looks like something it's not...mashed potato "ice-cream sundaes" for example.

What a great take on the explosion purse! LOVE it! I'm a new follower! I don't usually play a lot of April Fool's jokes, but I got one of my students good today. I told him I'd decided that it was too difficult for me to keep up with the sticker poster, so I was doing away with homework passes for the rest of the year. He was in hook, line, and sinker!

Your purse is amazing! Being an elementary school teacher... April Fool's Day is usually quite interesting. My students usually try their best to trick me, but they are usually pretty cheesy (i.e. They tell me my shoe is untied, but I'm not wearing tie shoes lol). I still get a laugh out of all of their effort :) So glad to be a part of this hop with you!

Love your explosion creation. My girfriend saw me drive past her on the street one day and recorded the time, etc. She called my house later that evening saying she was from the police dept and that I had not stopped when a police officer was waving me down and stated the time/place, etc she saw me. That I would be charged with not stopping for a police officer, ergh! scary moment!

Very cute purse! Love your flower on the front! It's not really a great April Fool's joke but I switched the language settings on a co-workers computer so whenever they typed anything it came out in a foreign language. She's not too computer savy so she had to ask how to change it back!
