Meet my inspiration... And share some love... :)

Over at Getting Cricky, there's a 'Love Link Up Party'...  I've seen this linky list pop up on a bunch of blogs in my reader lately, so I'm joining in on the FUN!!  :)  Be sure to hop over there and join in too (or just visit a few of the other blogs)...

When we linked up, we were asked to share something personal...  I think I share a lot of personal things here on my blog, so it was hard for me to come up with something new and special...

Well, here is something that many may not know about me (I know I've mentioned it crops and get-togethers)...

I secretly want to be Jessica Fletcher!

"Who???" you ask?

You know...  Jessica Fletcher!!  The Murder Mystery writer who lives in Cabot Cove, Maine!!  Every time she travels anywhere (in this country or that one), there seems to be a murder (okay, this part might give me a bit of a complex)...  And she always gets involved in solving the mystery!!  She's so amazing that they created a television show all about her!!  It ran for TWELVE seasons (one of CBS's longest-running shows!)...  I have seen every single one of the 264 corny episodes (as well as the 'cross-over' episodes that featured her on Magnum, PI!!)...  As a matter of fact, I've been heard to say things like, "You know, something just like this happened to my friend, Jessica Fletcher...  And what she did was....."

Now, you may think I'm crazy (and you're probably right), but if Jessica were my next-door-neighbor, I would TOTALLY want her to be my best friend!!  I mean, she pretty much does have it all together...

She has wonderful long-time friends like Dr. Seth Hazlitt (what a HOOT!), Sheriff Amos Tupper (best sheriff EVER!), Michael Hagerty (what a trouble-maker!), Dennis Stanton (jewel-thief turned insurance agent?), Harry McGraw (one of my favorites, played by Jerry Orbach), and many more...  These folks would do anything for Jessica, and they certainly helped to keeps things colorful and exciting!!

Jessica has about a million relatives (no kiddos of her own -- sob -- but plenty of nieces and nephews), none more colorful or fun than Grady...  He always seemed to get wrapped up with the wrong person and needed Jessica to HELP!!  :)  With Grady, you definitely got to witness Jessica's calm and patient ways...

Never quick to judge, Jessica has friends from all walks of life (millionaires and homeless folks alike!)...  She's quick with a kind word and helpful to everyone...  Always a lady, what's not to LOVE about Jessica Fletcher?

Oh, and even though I don't like to remember that Jessica was actually portrayed by an 'actress' and her 'real' name is Angela Lansbury, well...  Ms. Lansbury did a particularly AWESOME job portraying my favorite character ever...  :)
