I'm sharing TWO Fashion-themed projects with you today.... The first is a sparkle-shiny card!!
The shoe for my card was cut at 3.25" from the Gypsy Wanderings Cricut Cartridge... For those of you who have this cartridge (pre-loaded on your Gypsy), you will need to use the 'weld' feature and add an oval over the swirly cut out on the back of the shoe to make this a solid cut. For those of you who do not have this cartridge, you can find a sample of ALL the shoes available on any cartridge over at MyCutSearch.com... Shawn has done a WONDERFUL job of entering every imaginable image into her search engine (complete with handbook preview pages!) to make it easy to find ANY cut you're looking for... If you haven't visited MyCutSearch yet, please hop on over there and check it out -- you'll be SO glad you did!! This service is absolutely FREE (but I'd love it if you'd buy Shawn a "cup of coffee" while you're there!!)
The background paper (and paper used inside the card) is from the Creative Memories Black and White Power Palette (decorate paper pack). The wonderful Cinderella sentiment can be found on the "Fashionable Friends" Stamp Art set from K Andrew Designs...
Two of my handmade stick pins finish off this fun card sure to add a little sparkle to the life of someone special!! :)
My second project is a purse-shaped mini album....
I started with two (white) lunchbags for the base. I followed a video tutorial (for the paper bag base) that I found on YouTube, but I apologize that I couldn't find it today to repost...
All of the paper is from my stash of retired Creative Memories paper (this was part of the Delight Power Palette).... The little flowers were made using my CM Friendship Micro Maker -- I trimmed each flower petal towards the flower center to add a little dimension and FUN to the flowers...
There are six inside pages complete with tags and pockets to hide a few extra pictures and add some journaling...
I used several sentiments that can all be found on the "Fashionable Friends" Stamp Art set from K Andrew Designs... This is such a versatile set for the Fashion-Savvy (or Fashion-Savvy-Wannabees like me!!)....
The mini album purse is sturdy enough to stand up... All of the ribbons on the sides are attached to tags, so they can easily be pulled from the mini to add small photos or journaling...
One last look!! :) I hope you've enjoyed my fashionable little goodies today!!

OH Amy, I love the mini album...You are so creative and the colors are PERFECT. I love what you did with the flowers??? Great idea. Of course your card is another story. I love the cut of the shoe and that sentiment works so wonderfully with it. LOVE your stick pins and adding the extra bows is an awesome idea.
Great job.

Amy, Seriously. Where do you find the time? And what a brilliant brain you have to come up with all of these truly amazing, totally unique projects! Your blog is one I frequent almost every single day and that is why I have a little award for you on my blog. :0)
Fashion is my passion! I was going to Fashion Design School before I got my illness. :( Now, it's transferred over to papercrafting. Kinda goes hand in hand really! I love love love your card. That shoe is Fantabulous! Thanks so much for the chance to win some goodies.
My fashion tip is "Be Yourself". If you like something, and wearing it makes you feel good and confident, by all means, put it on! It doesn't matter what people might think b/c once they see your confidence, they're gonna love it!

Im already a follower;)
This is so sweet! Love the pins! Super cute mini! My fashion tip is to wear what you feel comfortable wearing!
Wow, another chance to win !!
I have to say I really like these shoes but I love the mini too. Mini's are my weakness. As for fashion, hmmm let me think says the grandma that runs around in jeans and tees or sweatshirts 24/7. LOL My tip is once you find your style, find it in a comfortable size and buy or make it in multiple colors! When I worked in the office I found I liked vests more than jackets (I always got so hot in jackets inside)so I would look for solid colors that would bring out highlights in my slacks, skirts and blouses. Bonus plus was vests made more outfit combinations than my jackets and were easy to dress up with jewelry.
Love being a member of your blog.

Love the glitter shoe! Love the paper bag purse! Fashion Tip - if you are big hipped (like me) push your sleeves up to right below your elbows. That way your skin tone breaks the illusion of color going all the way across from left arm to hips to right arm..... Here's another tip - the larger the earrings, the more people will look at your face.... here's another one.... always wear a pin on your right shoulder - it brings attention to your face, and it's the direction people look when you extend your arm to shake your hand.... here's another one.... scarves add the feel of confidence - you should wear scarves to interviews - even if they are tied to your purse handle.
