Happy Tuesday everyone... and Happy Fall too!! It's time for another challenge at Celebrate The Occasion!!! This week we were asked to create a card, layout, or 3D project celebrating "FALL" and the TWIST is to USE A PUMPKIN!! I just LOVE pumpkins!! :) {speaking of PUMPKINS, there's still time to get in on my GRAND PRIZE DRAWING -- A BRAND NEW Creative Memories 'Tis The Season Cricut Cartridge (just released today!) -- For more details, please see this post HERE!!
Remember how much I've been LOVING these square cards lately??? I'm actually thinking about adding this one to a square plaque or canvas to use as a wall hanging -- I just love how it turned out!! :)
I cut three large ovals from orange cardstock, crumpled and wadded them, then inked them with walnut before layering them onto the card... The card base is ivory cardstock distressed with evergreen... I added some faux stitching with a burgundy fine tip pen. I layered a strip of single-sided decorative green paper so that the green would show on both sides, twisted it around a pencil, and adhered it behind the pumpkin. The stem is just a scrap of brown trimmed and then creased several times for dimension. A touch of raffia adds just the right amount of shabby while the tag expresses just what I wanted to say....
I stamped the sentiment using the FUN mix-n-match sentiments from the "Fall-O-Ween" Stamp Art Set by K Andrew Designs...
I hope you've enjoyed seeing my card today!! If you have any questions or would like to leave a comment, I love to read what you have to say....
The AWESOME CTO Design Team has even more WONDERFUL inspiration for you, so I really hope you'll pop on over and visit my creative friends at Celebrate The Occasion -- THEN link up YOUR card, layout or project celebrating FALL (be sure to use a pumpkin) for a chance to WIN this month's PRIZE!! You have until Sunday, November 6th at 11:59pm to add your take on the Challenge!! Hope to see you there!! :)
Until next time,
