All About Dads Blog Hop -- And Giveaway!! :)

***If you are looking for the CTO Pool Party Blog Hop, PLEASE CLICK HERE***
***If you are looking for the BugBites Bug Hop, PLEASE CLICK HERE***

Welcome to the "All About Dads" Blog Hop!!

Welcome to JUNE!!  Ya know what I think of when I think of June???  Well, besides the wonderful, warm weather, I remember that it's the month when we get to celebrate Father's Day!!  Whether you celebrate your own father, your children's father, your grandfather, or a friend's father, you're gonna find some WONDERFUL projects on this hop dedicated to all the special men in our lives!!  :)

If you've hopped over from the super-sweet-and-talented ANITA, then you are in the right place! If you've just popped in to visit my blog from your dashboard or are reading this via email and would like to join us on our journey all about dads, please click HERE to start at the beginning!! :)  Remember to visit each blog (and leave a comment on each) to be eligible to win the Blog Candy Grand Prize -- A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge!  Be sure to keep your eye out though, as many participants will also offer additional Blog Hop Candy too!! :)

For my project today, I decided that I would post a gift for my dad for Father's Day...  In years past, he's asked for things like...  a money holder...  But his idea of a money holder is this:
Yes.  Seriously.  A Rubber Band. :)
So then I thought I'd get him something funny...  Or maybe a hat...  Or maybe a funny hat...  Like this visor with a full head of hair...
LOL...  He has enough of his own hair though...  :)
So finally I decided I would make him something that he would NEVER ask for...  A mini album that would remind him of what a 'Super-Dad' he is... :)
This was a lot of fun to make...  I designed the album in my Gypsy using Don Juan for the letters and the rectangles to weld to the letters...
I used chipboard for the album base...  By using multi-cut on my Cricut Expression, making these word albums is quick and easy!! :)  Sure beats the old way of tracing and cutting with an exacto knife!! :)
All of my paper is from the Creative Memories Rugged Power Palette.  I love the paper tags and paper frames that come with this set -- It really makes coordinating everything so nice!! :)
I added things like pull out tags for journaling or extra small pictures...
Many of the photo mats double as pockets too, so memorabilia can be added (maybe some ticket stubs to Friday night's winning Pirates game...  He can even add this picture of The-Boy-Child and The-Girl-Child with their 'Wow! These seats are AWESOME! Thanks, Grandpa!!' smiles :)
We just hope he knows how much we really love him -- And even though I originally planned on giving this to him for Father's Day...  Why wait to celebrate such a WONDERFUL dad until then???  I think I'll give this to him when we hang out on Sunday...
I hope you've enjoyed my mini album made especially for the very best dad I could ever ask for...  If you have any questions, please feel free to ask...  :)  Now, before I send you off to the next hop-stop, I have some goodies for you....  Cuz what's a hop without candy???  :)

***ALL ABOUT DADS BLOG HOP BLOG CANDY***

This mini album is so awesome! I am sure your dad is going to love it!

My father passed away 2 years ago! I loved his diplomatic way of dealing with things when I was a child. I do miss him!

What a great mini-album! Turned out wonderful. My Dad passed when I was 26, but even in my short life with him, I learned a lot. He was a terrific negotiator and I think I picked that up from him. Thanks for the chance to win those super new stamps from Kristal!!--Pat N.

3 totally amazing and wonderful projects. You did yourself proud this weekend.
I didn't answer your other post questions but I will this one because it's about my hero- my dad, and the best thing about him is pretty much everything!
I thoroughly enjoyed all 3 of your posts.

What an awesome album, although your first two gift ideas were pretty cute too!!! My dad was very wise, but did not interfere. He only gave advice when he was asked. As an adult, I appreciated that! He was always there when I needed him....I miss him so!

New follower here. Great mini album. I think I'd like to try and make one for my dad for father's day. =)

My dad has such a giving heart. His generosity to help others is what makes him special.

Oh wow, you are a busy woman! This is wonderful! My dad was an amazing person! He made friends with everyone he met and he was a very caring, fun and attentive father! He was always a shoulder to lean on and a hug when I needed it and he was the best grandfather any little girl could ever dream of. He just passed away a few months ago and I miss him sooooo much! I'm crying here typing about it. We are skipping father's day this year because I can't stand to celebrate but I really love your mini! Sorry for getting all sad on you but you are one of my favorite blogging friends! Thanks for always sharing your amazing creations!

First let me say, your writing is fantastic. It was fun to read.

Your dad is going to love this album. I know I do. Great job.

I am going to tell you the best thing about my kid's dad instead of my own. He went to every doctor appt, every school event, drove them to school every day and picked them up every day for all of their school years. He is the BEST dad ever.

Awesome mini! I mean "SUPER"!

The best thing about my dad is that he has seen the 'light' and is now a much better dad and grandpa that he was when I was younger. I'm so glad he is always a phone call away and always there with a helping hand.

Wow, your dad mini album is gorgeous! It really shows the love you put into making it. What a very special gift for your dad.

The best thing about my dad is he is a straight shooter, just says it like it is. You may not want to hear the truth but you can always count on him to tell you the truth. And with the truth comes good advice from years of experience.

Wow, what a thoughtful, beautiful gift to give your dad. The thing I loved most about my dad was that he could do anything in the world it seemed. He could find a way to fix everything. I miss him so much. It's sweet that you don't wait to tell your dad how much you love him. Never wait to tell him. Keep doing what you're doing. If you get a chance I have a tribute to my dad over on my blog. Thanks for the chance to win. Love your projects and giveaways! Your blog is a party on it's own! :0)

Fantastic mini for Dad, mine is amazing because he has always been there for me, not only to every event I had but also emotionally. As an adult, I know how hard it must have been especially working nights (he is a peace officer).
