Celebrate The Occasion Challenge #13 -- Wedding with a Ribbon -- Calligraphy Collection

It's time again to Celebrate The Occasion!!  This week the challenge is to create a card, layout, or project with a Wedding theme -- And the twist is to use a ribbon!! :)

I decided to create a layout using black, white, and SU!'s perfect plum.  I sometimes procrastinate a bit when I'm working on challenges...  This was definitely the case this week, but luckily the NSD challenges at My Pink Stamper were forcing me into high gear on getting things done...  Challenge #7 was to make a scrapbook page, and I thought...  "Perfect!!  I'll make my project for CTO!!"  :)

My only Cricut cuts on the layout are from the Calligraphy Collection Cricut Cartridge for the "I do..."   My ribbon is my brand new crinkle ribbon that I received in the mail this week from the very talented KATE from Small Bits of Paper...  What a lovely surprise that ribbon was!!  The crinkle ribbon actually comes from one of my fellow CTO Design Team gals, Kimberly from My Craft Spot...  If you haven't tried these ribbons yet, they are absolutely to-die-for-wonderful!!

I had so much fun making the dimensional ruffled card (see it HERE) this week, that I thought I'd try the technique on a layout too...  I used my SU! Eyelet border punch on three strips of 2"x12" paper...  I then adhered a thin strip of dimensional foam to the back of each strip just above the punched image...  It creates such a neat effect -- I think I'll be using this technique more often!!
