Mother's Day Blog Hop!! Happy Mother's Day!! Want some candy? :)

If you are here for the Mother's Day Blog Hop, CONGRATULATIONS!!  You have reached the END of the hop!!  You should have arrived here from my awesome aussie friend, Carlene!!  Isn't she just the sweetest???  If you've hopped right here from your dashboard or email, you'll definitely want to begin at the beginning (and go on til you come to the end....)

I'm just so tickled that Jen invited me to be a part of this wonderful hop dedicated to celebrating all-things-MOM!!  :)  If you are a mom, then let me begin by saying 'Happy Mother's Day!'  I'm so glad you chose to spend a little time with us for the hop!!  I'm offering blog candy below, so please be sure to stick around for that...

For today's project, I made a fun and easy Mother's Day card inspired by the folks at OWH (you can view the tutorial for this card at their site HERE)...  When I first saw this dimensional ruffled card, I knew I wanted to make one for my mom on Mother's Day!!
This is a Cricut-less card...  I used Creative Memories Delight Tone-on-Tone Paper for the ruffles, flower, and background cardstock.  The ruffles were punched with Stampin Up!'s Eyelet Border Punch.  The flower was punched with Creative Memories Scallop Circle Punch and 1.25" Circle Punch (leaves were hand cut).  The stamp is from a retired SU! set.
The fun part about this card is that not only is it quick and easy to make (and oh-so-cool looking with all the dimensionals used under the layers to really make it stand out!), but by changing the colors and the punch you use, you will never run out of options for this card!!
My second project is actually a layout that I posted yesterday (you can see the full post with details by clicking HERE)...  This is a layout all about how I really love being The-Mom to my fantastic kiddos...
And finally (and I may never be forgiven for posting this here), I have to share the most wonderful Mother's Day present I could have ever hoped for...  So that you know, I always tell people that gifts that you make yourself are always most appreciated by me -- Sure, the Heath Miller Steeler's jersey that The-Boy-Child gave me for Christmas is well-treasured and much-loved...  But THIS present will forever be something that I hold in my heart...  At 12:01am, The-Boy-Child sent me THIS for Mother's Day (see why he's my favorite son? -- and, yes, he really did write and perform this for me!):

This hop begins today (Sunday, May 8th) and will continue through Wednesday, May 11th...  That means you have four whole days to hop through the line up and enter for any blog candy along the way...  Some of the stops will have new projects posted for some or all of the days, so feel free to stop on by each day...

And NOW....  What's a Blog Hop without Blog Candy???  I have a selection of paper and embellishments for one lucky hopper!!  Simply leave me a comment on this post telling me about what makes Mother's Day special to you -- Is it breakfast in bed, spending time with your mom, a day off from cooking?  You do not need to be a follower to win; however, if you enjoy what you see here, I would love for you to join my Fabulous Followers...

For each day that you hop here, you will be able to leave a comment for an EXTRA chance to win my blog candy -- If you stop by and leave a comment all four days, you'll TRIPLE your chances in the drawing!!  Become a follower (and leave a second comment) to get a second chance (if you are already a follower, you can still leave the extra comment for a second chance).  Want another chance?  'Like' my page on Facebook (click the badge to the right or click HERE) and leave me another comment letting me know that you did.  ADDITIONALLY, if you would like to earn yet another chance, please hop over to Decorate To Celebrate (a new challenge blog all about parties) and sign up to be a follower there...  Come back and let me know you did that with another comment (by the way, there's BIG candy to be won over there, so feel free to stick around and enter to win there too!)...

** Can you believe that I really do include small print???  :)  -- To be eligible for my "Mother's Day" Blog Hop Candy you need to leave a comment on this post telling me about what makes Mother's Day special to you  (if you don't know how to get to the comment box, CLICK HERE)...  For a second chance to win, become a follower (if you are already a follower, that's okay too) and leave a SECOND comment that you are following...  There are several other ways to get extra chances (outlined above) and you can TRIPLE your chances to win by visiting EACH day of the hop and leaving another comment...  The winner will be selected and posted on May 12th (later in the day rather than sooner, cuz I'll be needing some coffee first!)...  Selected winner will have SEVEN (7) whole days to claim the prize (if you include your email address, I will be happy to email you if you are the winner, if you choose NOT to leave your email, please be sure to CHECK BACK!!) or it will be re-gifted, possibly to the lunch lady's mother or the Queen of Hearts, but probably to another comment participant...  This drawing is held in happy spirits with good intentions, so please enter with the same...  Here ends the fine print. :)

Oh My Goodness that video is the sweetest thing I have ever seen(aside from my kids of course..) What makes Mother's day special, is just being able to be a mother to 3 wonderful kids. I know that some women have a hard time having children, and my heart goes out to them. I have truly been blessed to have my wonderful wonderful kids.
Happy Mother's day to you.

Your card is really nice, but that video from your son is PRICELESS. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Mother's day for me is more about me celebrating my awesome kids than them celebrating me. Judging by you posting the video, you feel the same way.

Love the projects! I think what makes mother's day special for me is spending time with my mom and the kids that are in my life since I am not a natural born mother. They always do something special to honor me as well as their mother!

I watched your son's video twice, how special. My son is just learning guitar and he played My Girl for me. Wish I had it on video too.
Mother's day is special to me because I get to spend time with my own mother and my sons. I can't tell you how many times they said I love you, and how many hugs I recieved that day.

Love the video, so sweet!

My special day was to have it for Scrapping with my Hubby. He cut stuff out on the Cricut for me and kept the Grand children entertained. He even made meals and snacks. Yipee!
