Getting Cricky Simply Sunday: Monster Treat Bags!! :)

Happy Fall Sunday, friends!! :)  We are having a GORGEOUS Fall day here in sunny Pennsylvania -- I sure hope you're enjoying a fabulous day too...

It's time again for one of my favorite challenge days!!  It's Simply Sunday Challenge Day over at Getting Cricky!!  This week, we were asked to create some "Halloween Treat Holders (a bag, box, or anything a child could use to carry Halloween candy) OR any Halloween decoration" -- Sounds like FUN, right???  We can't wait to see you use your CREATIVITY and show us your interpretation of the challenge!! :)

For this challenge, many of my Design Team Sisters will be featuring Kristal's "Fall-O-Ween" Stamp Art Set...  I've been using this one a LOT lately, and with the mix-n-match options, it was a SNAP to come up with the perfect phrase for my "Monster Treat Bags"....
Remember how I mentioned that "Tangerine" Candy Corn at my local grocery store???  Well, I can tell ya...  It doesn't quite taste like 'real' tangerines...  But it sure is PERFECT for my Monster Treat Bags!! :)
This is actually a "Cricut-less" project (I've had a few of those lately -- I sure hope my Cricut isn't getting lonely...)...  Some fancy cutting and folding created the base of my bag (all cut from one 12x12 piece of cardstock) -- If you'd like the template, please let me know in the comments, and I'll be glad to add it to the post or email it to you (if you leave me your email address)...  The eyes and nose were cut with my Creative Memories Custom Cutting System (ovals and circles)...  I actually used a larger oval to cut the mouth too -- I just didn't cut it all the way around so I could hand-cut the smile marks...
My little tag with the "Sweet Treat" mix-n-match sentiment finishes off my project and is attached to some fuzzy green ribbon-wire...  I used this same ribbon-wire to make loops for the hair...  Now who would be scared by this monster face???  Not me!! :)
Here's another project that I just created the other day using the "Fall-O-Ween" set too -- Those little "sour cream cup" treats were a HUGE hit with The-Girl-Child's Cheerleader Friends yesterday -- And they were also super easy to make!!  For more details on these treats, be sure to CLICK HERE....

And there ya have it!!  Quick and easy and sure to delight the kiddos....  Now that I've shown you my take on the challenge, I hope you'll hop on over to see what all of my Design Team Sisters made for inspiration...  Then, I hope you'll enter this week's "Halloween Treats and Decorations" Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky...  We can't WAIT to see what you create!!
