"Trick or Treat" Halloween Hop -- Best Witches!! :)

Welcome to DAY ONE of the "Trick or Treat" Halloween Blog Hop!!

We're so happy you could join us for this super-fun hop showcasing cards, layouts and projects that feature everything fun about Halloween!!  You'll find an array of ideas throughout the hop -- From decorations to gift ideas and more, we hope you'll enjoy each and every project along the way!! This is a TWO-DAY hop, so be sure to catch both days for maximum ideas (you'll find the entire line-up below my post)!!

We can guarantee LOTS of treats on this hop (and maybe a few TRICKS too)... So let's get hopping!!  If you've just popped in to visit my blog or are reading this via email and you'd like to join our Trick-or-Treat FUN, then please CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Lynda's blog because...  It's always a TREAT to start at the start!! :)

For my project today, I decided to create a card with a little twist...
I attached my rosette to the card as a PIN!!  So the recipient will be able to remove the pin and wear it for the Halloween season...
This is a standard A2-sized card (5.5" x 4.25").  For the background, I cut a piece of black cardstock (5.5" x 4.25") and topped it with a piece of bright white cardstock (5.25" x 4") embossed with the Sizzix Damask embossing folder...
I used the Martha Steward border punch (drippy goo) on my apple green cardstock before adhering a ruffle of orange 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon (if you missed the Ribbons & Buttons Blog Hop you should really check it out -- there's still a few days to WIN some of that amazing crinkle ribbon!!), and wrapping it with black twine...
My rosette pin started off as a strip (1"x12") of decorative cobweb paper scored and fan-folded every 1/4"...  After adhering the ends together and hot-gluing the center, I added a circle (stamped with the "Best Witches" sentiment found on the "Fall-O-Ween" Stamp Art Set by K Andrew Designs) surrounded by more of that awesome orange 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon, and topped with some of my little flower embellishments...
To finish everything off, I used my Gelly Roll clear Stardust pen to outline the edges of the rosette and card, accent the drippy goo drips, and add a little sparkle to the stamped image...  I'd love to read your feedback or answer any questions about my card, so please leave me a comment if you have a moment to do so...

We have a WONDERFUL Grand Prize for one lucky hopper today -- A Gift Certificate for Sweet Stamping Treats!!  To be eligible, please visit each "Blog Hop Stop" and leave a comment!!  One random winner will be chosen on Friday, October 21st (giving you plenty of time to finish the hop)... For more details on what you could choose if YOU are the winner, please be sure to visit our sponsor:

Sweet Stamping Treats

I ALSO have a little blog candy for you!!  I will be sending a pack of 6x6 paper and embellishments to one fabulous winner!! :)
To be eligible for my blog candy:
  • Please become a follower of my blog and leave me a comment answering this FUN question: "After finishing today's hop, what are you going to create?"!!
If you leave your email address (please leave it in SAFE scrapbookingwithamy at gmail dot com form), I will be happy to contact you if you are the winner; otherwise, you will need to check back to see if you are a winner.  No captcha here, so commenting is quick and easy!! :)

Thank you again for checking out my project...  You've reached the END of the hop!!  Be sure to come on back tomorrow for another line-up of FABULOUS creations!! And remember to visit all the stops for more chances to WIN!!  Below are links to BOTH days of the hop so you'll be sure not to miss a THING!!

What a great idea Amy! My teacher friends would love this. Great job on your card. Love the colors, the ribbon and the drippy goo punch.

Vicki said...

I am so surprised the drippy goo is a punch! I thought it was some liquid that you put on like a glue and let it dry! Cute fun card and the pin would be fun to wear...

Love this, Amy! Great idea to make your rosette a pin, too -- always thinking, you are!

After the hop I will be creating some note cards and homemade doggie treats for a "dog lover's" basket. My daughter's school carnival is this Friday and each class prepares a basket for the silent auction.
