Welcome to Day TWO of the "Trick or Treat" Halloween Blog Hop!!
We're so happy to have you back for the SECOND DAY of this super-fun hop showcasing cards, layouts and projects that feature everything fun about Halloween!! You'll find an array of ideas throughout the hop -- From decorations to gift ideas and more, we hope you'll enjoy each and every project along the way!! This is a TWO-DAY hop, so if you missed Day One, be sure to check out the links from yesterday for maximum ideas (you'll find the entire line-up below my post)!!
We can guarantee LOTS of treats on this hop (and maybe a few TRICKS too)... So let's get hopping!! If you hopped here from Jamie's blog, then you are in the RIGHT place!! :) If you've just popped in to visit my blog or are reading this via email and you'd like to join our Trick-or-Treat FUN, then please CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Lynda's blog because... It's always a TREAT to start at the start!! :)
For the month of October I've been asked to be a Guest Designer at the Scrappin' Chics Challenge Blog, so I am sharing my second project for them with YOU for the hop today!! :) Over at Scrappin' Chics Challenge Blog, they have a pretty neat concept... They invite a few Guest Designers to join their "regular" DT and create multiple projects for the challenge theme throughout the month... As a participant, you have ALL month to create a card, layout, or other project to enter in the challenge, so I hope to see your entries soon!! :) This month, we've been asked to create a Halloween project using the colors PURPLE and GREEN (you can use additional colors as long as you also use purple and green). I hope you'll hop on over to Scrappin' Chics Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team created for inspiration -- It's sure to be a sweet treat!! :) Now, here's my project for the hop (and my take on the challenge)...
I upcycled a salad dressing bottle for a FUN Halloween gift... I started with a clean, dry bottle and used Modge-Podge to adhere strips of purple tissue paper all over the outside of the bottle. Once that was dry, I cut 1.25" letters from the Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge (Vampire Font feature -- both base and shadow)... I also cut several circles in varying sizes (from .75" to 1.25"), outlined them with a white Signo pen and clustered them behind the title...
I popped the title up with some foam tape for a little extra dimension... And then I filled the bottle with some "Tangerine" flavored Candy Corn... My friend will enjoy this bottle of "poison" for sure!! :)
I covered the cap of the dressing bottle with decorative cardstock to make it a little more personal... I used the Martha Steward border punch (drippy goo) to give the effect of a leaky bottle of poison (hee hee hee...)!! I added a strip of black cardstock before tying a bow with white 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon (if you missed the Ribbons & Buttons Blog Hop you should really check it out -- you still have all day today to WIN some of that amazing crinkle ribbon!!), and adding an adorable tag...
My circle tag is stamped with the Mix-N-Match sentiments ("A Gift for YOU") created from the "Fall-O-Ween" and "Winter Wishes" Stamp Art Sets by K Andrew Designs... I'd love to read your feedback or answer any questions about my project, so please leave me a comment if you have a moment to do so...
We have a WONDERFUL Grand Prize for one lucky hopper today -- A Gift Certificate for Sweet Stamping Treats!! To be eligible, please visit each "Blog Hop Stop" and leave a comment!! One random winner will be chosen on Friday, October 21st (giving you plenty of time to finish the hop)... Thanks for sharing your creative ideas and know I'll need to wash out some salad dressing bottles (that means I have to eat salad!!!) The hop was TERRIFIC! Thanks,

This is sooo cute! May just be my favorite of the hop. The vampire font and drippy goo border punch go GREAT together and it's such a fun gift! Thank yo so much for sharing.
I love how you recycled a salad dressing bottle! Very green! I've been through the whole hop today and I think the best tip I learned (sort of indirectly) is that you really can reuse old items to make really neat crafts. Your dressing bottle, Shannon's bird cage, and Lori's plate. I know she bought her's but you could use any old plain plate.
I'm a new follower so thanks for the opportunity to win some blog candy :)
